Ink Rush Transfers Pressing Guide

Press DTF Transfers with Confidence

Get vibrant, long-lasting results every time by following the recommended Ink Rush Transfers pressing instructions for custom DTF transfers, gang sheets, single transfers, and ready-to-press apparel prints.

Use this guide as a starting point and always test before full production because heat presses, garments, and fabric blends can vary.

Recommended Starting Settings

For most standard DTF transfer applications, start with the settings below and adjust only after testing.

DTF Pressing Steps

Follow these three steps for a clean application and a durable finish.

1

Initial Press

Place the transfer ink-side down on the garment and press evenly using medium-firm pressure.

  • Temperature: 300Β°F
  • Time: 10–15 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium-firm, 6–7 setting
  • Keep the transfer flat and centered before pressing
2

Peel

Carefully remove the PET film from the transfer using the correct peel timing for your transfer finish.

  • Peel type: Cold or warm peel
  • Peel slowly and evenly from one corner
  • If lifting occurs, stop and repress before peeling fully
3

Second Press

Cover the design and press again to lock in durability, improve adhesion, and finish the surface feel.

  • Temperature: 300Β°F
  • Time: 7–10 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium-firm, 6–7 setting
  • Teflon sheet for shiny finish
  • Parchment paper for matte finish

Finished!

Your custom garment is now ready to wear, sell, or ship. For best wash durability, allow the garment to rest before its first wash whenever possible.

Important Pressing Notes

Use these notes to avoid common pressing problems like lifting, dull prints, uneven adhesion, or garment marks.

Before You Press

Proper setup helps your transfer bond better and keeps the final print looking clean.

  • Ensure even heat distribution and firm, consistent pressure.
  • Use a quality heat press for best adhesion and durability.
  • Pre-press the garment if moisture or wrinkles are present.
  • Avoid pressing over zippers, seams, buttons, pockets, collars, or heavy garment ridges.

Polyester & Blended Fabrics

Polyester and blends absorb heat faster. If needed, lower your temperature and reduce press time to protect the garment.

Lower Temperature250–320Β°F
Press Time5–15 sec

Always test before full production, especially on polyester, performance wear, tri-blends, and heat-sensitive garments.
